A mobile recruiting strategy can provide solid ROI and deliver the talent a company needs at a lower cost than many conventional methods alone. By following some basic best practices companies can ensure the success of their SMS recruiting effort:

* Use aggregators approved by your carrier – this will ensure technical coordination.

*Always set an expiration date for your message drive – after the initial surge of responses, they drop off anyway.

*Send messages on a day and a time that will get the most responses from the target audience. A good aggregator can help with this.

*To make sure the data you collect is current and without duplication, use double opt-in, i.e. ask respondents to confirm their email address.

*Don’t bombard your targets with frequent messages.

*Avoid words that won’t pass spam filter muster – there are many sources on the Internet where these words are listed.

*Your brand is your word, and should be the first word (or very close to the first word) in your message
