Mobile marketing has been embraced by many forward-thinking companies. Almost 90% of companies used mobile marketing to some degree in 2008; a full third of them devoted at least 10% of their budget on mobile ads.

This allowed companies to increase their brand awareness, build opt-in database information, and increase web site traffic at relatively little cost. At the same time, these organizations gained valuable experience in this new medium; experience that can be translated to mobile recruiting.
